There was 4 of us, all ladies, stayed for on night in a large family room, very clean, comfy beds and had a full English breakfast next morning that was value for money. delicious... Would stay there again....

Hotel and staff were lovely. Rooms could do with an update and the walls are too thin but great location and a great stay for us.

Nice Hotel,clean rooms and good food.Very relaxing surrounding with a large outside area overlooking a scenic lake to sit and have a meal and a pint . The staff are very kind and friendly. My only complaints are no fridge in the room and no free WiFi unless your with BT. Will be stopping there again tho

Stayed here as 4 cyclists cycling over a weekend from London to Southend and back. All of the hotels in Southend were booked due to the carnival being on. This is only a 2 star hotel so not sure what to expect, however was not disappointed, the rooms we had were spacious and clean, the rooms having recently been redecorated. The beds were comfortable to sleep on, everybody commented on how they got a good nights sleep and the breakfast was extremely good value for money. All in all can't be faulted.

Very welcoming, £65 for the night,, can't expect too much. Excellent fresh cooked breakfast, comfy beds, large bedrooms, tea making facilities in the room, clean.

Overnight stay while visiting family and friends

Pros: Warm comfy room with nice bed. Ample car parking spaces . Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: As mentioned above.... hot breakfast.
Location: Fairly easy to find but only there for one night so no knowledge of local attractions .
Closest hotel to our family location. Very helpful staff, large clean room ,comfy bed and good hot shower. OK for an overnight stay. Bar busy and drinks not expensive . Paid for breakfast next morning (£7.50 each). Good choice and plenty of it ,shame bacon, eggs, sausage , beans were nearly cold. No fresh tea or coffee , hot water provided in jugs to make your own.... only just warm. Went back to our room to make another. Its a pity the food at breakfast was not hot and cooked to order as the quality was good.
