We arrived with a booking for 2 rooms, one had been refurbished, and was not too bad, for 1 night it would have been adequate. The second room was appalling, the carpet was badly stained, the chairs were sagging and dirty, and the final straw was the state of the bathroom.. We inquired whether we could change the room, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked.. Following a conversation with the receptionist we decide that we would not stay at the hotel..

Room to die for

Pros: High standard food, service and room. Easy to find. Lovely all round.
Location: On the edge of the Cotswolds makes it a good place to stay to visit the villages.
Wow. Room 7. Brocade curtains around the bed, around the TV area, over the windows and AROUND THE BATH! The roll-topped bath was in the room - toilet and sink in a little room in the corner. The bed was very comfy, set in a wooden surround. (I don't think every room was like this) The hotel itself was lovely, the food, both at night and at breakfast was of a very high standard. The service was top restaurant class.

Evesham Hotel deserves an extra star

Pros: All the above and the spacious gardens and the magnificent Cedar of Lebanon. my and I enjoyed the decor of the Roman bedroom.
Cons: The gardens need a little extra love and care. Making more of tables and chairs to attract guests to enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the garden.
Location: the National Trust property, Snowshill Manor was a delight and the eclectic taste of the previous owner, Charles Wade, was fascinating.
All fourteen of us enjoyed our weekend at the hotel.The rooms were very comfortable, staff efficient and friendly.the cuisine was excellent. The highlight was our dinner,each of the three courses were superb and an excellent wine list. Many of us will come again.

A good experience

The reason for our visit was a very sad one, but the vgeneral ambiance of the whole place: accomodation, staff, food, decor was a great help. We hope to be able to visit again on a more propitious occasion

Excellent hotel

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Well placed for walking into Evesham with all its attractions, shops, restaurants, the river etc. Abbey Park had beautiful displays of flowers.
Lovely hotel in a nice quiet area but very well placed for walking into Evesham. Well maintained gardens, lovely individual rooms well supplied with everything one might need. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good breakfast. Can't fault it. Will definitely stay again.
