Great Value

Pros: The pool, the breakfast, the view.
Very friendly and professional hotel. Check in was easy, safe place to park and the rooms are great and spacious with a great view.

No need to go bananas

Quiet hotel on the outskirts of Funchal, with excellent transport links – bus stops bang outside. Like most of Madeira banana trees planted right next door. Slightly odd setup – the hotel is split between two buildings, with the fifth floor in one building being at an upper road level to access a nearby shopping centre and breakfast and the outdoor pool at -1 in the other building. Staff very efficient and helpful, rooms clean, breakfast decent. A fine place for a short break.

Good hotel and location but room for improvement

Location: 40-45 minutes drive from the airport and quite far from Funchal. However it was a peaceful area, right on the ocean, and a great shopping centre close
Positives: - Great location - away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, in a peaceful area. - Fantastic views of the ocean - A few minutes walk away from Forum Madeira shopping centre with lots of restaurants, shops and a supermarket - Great buffet breakfast - Has an indoor pool, sauna, and gym - Friendly staff - Plenty of free off-street parking if you choose to hire a car Negatives: - The outdoor pool wasn't heated and was cold so I couldn't swim in it - The indoor pool area had no natural light and was poorly lit - have seen public swimming pools that are nicer - Our bathroom was very basic - not what I would expect from a four star hotel - The corridors were dark to walk in - as the hotel was so big, it felt like they were trying to save on electricity costs

Es war alles sehr nett und gut aber morgens beim Frühstücken machen sie bisschen hektisch. Man kann nicht in Ruhe frühstücken.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Service Personal. Schnelle Umsetzung in allen Bereichen auf die Corona Hygiene Schutz Massnahmen. Essen allgemein gut bis sehr gut. Leider Frühstück-Vorspeisen- und Dessert Buffet fast täglich das gleiche. Etwas zu wenig Abwechslung. Das Upgrade in ein Behinderten Zimmer hat uns nicht gestört. War etwas grösser. Deutsche Fernsehsender vorhanden.
