Hotel is very near Hydro. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was good. Not enough staff in bar at night.

Misleading Description

Cons: Description to be suited to the country where the hotel is situated, not the chains headquarters!!
Location: Right next to the hydro - possibly why prices can be overinflated.
The description and photographs of the room were very misleading. The description states that the bed is a Queen bed and the room looks to be a reasonable size in the photographs. Upon arrival it was clear that the photographs were stretched to make the room appear bigger and the bed was also not as big as we were led to believe. After contacting the reception about this we were advised that the beds were American Queen size, which are much smaller than a British Queen size. My wife was pregnant at the time so we were looking forward to having the space to sleep as she could get quite uncomfortable at the time. The bed turned out to be a fair bit smaller than our British King size bed we had at home. The room was quite warm so we switched the air con on full blast but it didn't seem to do much apart from make a noise. The room itself was clean enough and would be fine if we had paid a fair price for it. We paid around 3 times what something like a Travelodge would cost and the room was on a par with a Travelodge. If you could get the room for a budget price then it would be fine, but don't expect a higher standard of hotel just because it is a higher price.

Central location

The hilton garden inn is in a good location, with plenty to do around it. It is a short walk to the city centre. The hotel is friendly and clean i would stay again.

Visiting SECC Hydro

Overpriced but can't be beaten for proximity to SECC Hydro. Clean with everything you need for an overnight stay.
