Servicing of the room was poor. Bathroom bin not emptied, towels were short and bed unmade on one day. Room could have been much cleaner.

Very comfortable hotel in an ideal location

Very comfortable hotel in an ideal location in the West End. Plenty of amenities nearby. Bus Stops right around the corner. Staff very friendly. House keeping could be very noisy at times talking amongst themselves and banging shut doors - some travellers need to catch up on their sleep throughout the day! Overall a very pleasant stay!

Basic city hotel with reasonable facilities

Pros: Location
Cons: Housekeeping was a bit 'slack'.
Location: Handy for west end.
Pleasant enough hotel in the Travel Lodge style. Had to ask for clean cups and replacement towels on the second day. Room was clean and comfortable.

Perfect for us

Worst room experience in many visits

Pros: It is convenient for places I am going. It has been in the past reasonable value, it would be a shame if this was to change for the worse.
Cons: Some people handling training for certain staff members
Location: Good access to the centre of Glasgow by bus, also close to Botanic Gardens and Byres Road area.
This was a return visit to the Pond having stayed there several times before. The receptionist on arrival was dour and not very helpful we asked for a Pond view room to be told rather bluntly that none were available. We were allocated a fourth floor small room at the opposite end of the hotel. It was noisy hot and the smell of cooking from the kitchens was not pleasant no air conditioning and to sleep with the window open was noisy and smelly! We took breakfast on the first morning no bacon for quite some time , no croissants, generally not up to standard. I am due to stay there again in November if I do not get a better room it will be the last time!
