Room was very poor. Ground floor and overlooked but no blinds . Had to draw the curtains on sunlight to get any degree of privacy. Hot water tap not working so could not shave. Security light outside window coming on all night. Terrible. Wine was £14 a glass and food menu very limited and poor. Was planning to stay again on journey home from South West but now going to look else. Would not stay again.

Meh

Cons: Demolition and start again?
Dark, paint flaking on the windows, trying way too hard to be cool - would prefer more effort to go into making it actually comfortable. Both of us have bruised legs from trying to squeeze around the bed, because some clever person stuck a great big tower with 2 TVs right in the way. We booked a junior suite to have more space - but were stumped by large wooden contraptions and sharp profiled bed legs. Premier Inn is just easier - paying more for luxury these days seems to bring more hassle, smug hotel staff and over complicated accommodation. This is my third attempt with Hotel du Vin and I just can't be bothered to stay in their gloomy and fussy hotels again.

A very nice hotel but with some niggles

Excellent room and suite. We loved the double bath and double shower wet room. Reception staff were very helpful however the staff serving breakfast left much to be desired!! The breakfasts it's self was a disappointment compared to other hotels. We had eaten the breakfast before our tea & coffee arrived despite several requests for it! Also there was not a baked bean in sight on the menu!!! The fruit pots had obviously made up the week before and had aged and were brown in colour!! The spa was closed due to The only member of staff being off sick and cover should have been arranged as this was one of the main reasons of the trip my partner was deeply disappointed. Ps the heated floors were a nice touch in the bathroom
