I booked a total of five rooms 4 King and a standard for a family event. I had sent confirmation of the bookings and the persons for each of the bookings, via Expedia message, the evening before to confirm the reservations. On arrival the persons were allocated rooms however the check in staff both afternoon and evening did not know who was which despite above message? When I personally checked in I enquired about the allocations and the staff did not know anything about it. I had feedback from all of the family about all of the rooms. 202 the bath on trying to fill seemed to lose most of its water, 303 the shower system failed to work only giving a very low flow and almost possible to keep at any one acceptable temperature. Similar comments about the other rooms. 303 the bathroom radiator did not work, but the room one was at full blast and unable to control. Again similar comments about the other rooms. I had previously stayed at the hotel sometime prior to becoming part of the Comfort chain and expected it to be as good and supported by the chain quality system having stayed also at other Comfort hotels. Hotel is run down, if you need a 'no stairs' room make certain to enquire before booking as there is a maze of rooms and stairs. The night porter on the 7/8 Feb and the breakfast staff on the 8 Feb were however excellent. Overall very disappointed, I could have chosen to stay at other chain hotel locally and got breakfast included! Would not use again.
