Excellent Hotel near to Glasgow Central Station.

Pros: The hotel is very close to Central Station and within easy walking distance to all the main shops.
Cons: Just keep up the current standards we encountered.
Location: We didn't really have time to do things nearby as we stayed specifically to see a band playing in a local pub.
Just stayed one night at this hotel, We were made very welcome, the rooms were big and well laid out. The breakfast was excellent.

Somewhat great trip

I went to this hotel for 4nights during the valentines weekend, we arrived early at the hotel and the reception kindly checked us in early. because we were there for a few nights, they gave us a room at the back so we would not be disturbed by noise which was very nice. This hotel is situated in a very ideal place next to lots of shops and restaurants which is ideal, and its opposite the train station so u can visit other parta of Scotland is u wish. The only bad experience i faced was that my partner and i as we slept kept getting cuts on our legs by a loose sharp object in the matress. I complained to reception and they appolgised and said its becauae the room we were staying in had not had its matresses changed yet which i thought was a poor excuse considering how long we stayed at the hotel and how much we paid. A restful, peaceful and painless sleep is the most important part of our trip and we couldnt enjoy that. Aside from this the staff and the general people of glasgow are absolutly outstandingly friendly.

Fantastic Hotel

From check in to check out the staff made my wife and I feel right at home. We were allowed into our room at 1030 which was a bonus. All aspects of the hotel met our expectations and we will certainly stay again. Great location too.

Two night stay.

Not realy a 5 star hotel in any way. Very plain with little that stands out. Rooms were clean and tidy but very ordinary for the price. View into a dreary courtyard which was very disapointing. On the plus point the location is excellent for Glasgow Central Station but there are many others just as central and much more reasonably priced. Can't see us going back here in a hurry.

Off to Glasgow to review the libertines

Arrived after a delayed flight from London and picked up by a very charming airport cabbie feeding anecdotes about Glasgow. Check in at hotel was a come down after the lift of arriving in a new city. Can I check out late as working and an evening return flight? No. Fully booked. Any chance of a swim. No. Closed. Maybe a smile! Cool lift up to second floor and ok room with big glass windows, bit noisy from traffic and shame about twin beds. Shower not very strong but not worst ever. Time was pressing and wanted to stretch legs so walked to barrow lands to see the libertines warm up for their Hyde park show. True what they say about gigs in this city, the crowd was incredible put us Londoners to shame. Arrived back at hotel pretty late after meeting band and managed to get a drink at the ground floor bar after finding someone to serve us. Check out was fine and was allowed to use computer and printer to confirm evening flight . Got some good tips off the concierge and he booked me an airport taxi. Nice chap. Spent day sightseeing. The cathedral was beautiful well worth a look. Alas time was up. Sat in front lobby waiting for my taxi to airport who also apparently was waiting for me. Front desk had no idea who I was and there was no one in the room 251 ( re no to late check out cheers!) fortunately noticed cabbie man and jumped in. In conclusion first impressions make the biggest impression and last impressions none more so in hotels
