Family holiday

very good hotel. lots to do for kids and adults alike. When it got busy we struggled to get a sun bed which was a bit of a pain and children's bed wasn't the best. but all in all had a good holiday.

B&B is best

This is a fine resort hote- one that seeks to occupy and fill all your time enjoyably. Plenty of activities and facilities if that is what you want. My wife for example got great value out of the fitness classes. We just did b & b but gave the hotel a go for lunch on dinner the first day. Mistake. Various postings have warned about the food and they are right in our experience. Bland and rushed, the type of stuff you think kids will only eat so that is what you give them. They get the buffet breaking right so they can do it if they want to- so this is the best argument against all inclusive. The hotel is located on the edge of Alcala, an unlovely breeze block and cement large village. However, the village has a number of very good eating options which means a drive along very windy roads is avoided. These restaurants obviously thrive on the outflow not overflow from the hotel. Rooms are cleverly designed, and staff are very helpful, red glove service is attentive and effective, with discreet and non- pushy up selling. Won't go back but enjoyed the hotel and think Melia can do a completely good job if they want to .

Relaxing couple vacation

The hotel had expensive meal options, aside from the ample breakfast offered, which we enjoyed in a variety of settings. Rather than the meal plan on offer within the big complex, we opted instead to go to restaurants in town. It was within a 10 minute walk, high quality, and much more reasonably priced. The hotel rooms were large and comfortable. WiFi quality was good, though it would have been better if one didn't have to go through a daily ritual of reconfirming the userid and password in a web form to unlock access (again).

Wir traffen ein hammermässiges Hotel an . Das Personal das Essen das Ambiente war einfach super. Wir sind sicher nicht das letzte mal dort werden aber sicher nächstes mal ein Auto mieten um die tolle Insel besser kennen zu lernen .

Hotelanlage ist wirklich schön; inkl. Poolbereich. Strandzugang gibt es, aber zum Baden nicht gerade ideale Lage des Hotels am Meer. Viele Kinder im Hotel. Etwas störend war die sehr strikte Organisation des ganzen Hotelbetriebes. So konnte in den Hotelrestaurant nur mit vorheriger Reservation gegessen werden - ansonsten war nur das Buffet am Abend geöffnet; allerdings mit sehr vielen Familien und hohem Preis, da halt Buffet. Die Öffnungszeiten des Pools waren nicht gerade lange (10:00 bis 18:00 Uhr). So konnte nach einem Tagesausflug auf der Insel nicht mal am Abend eine Abkühlung im Pool getätigt werden - was sehr schade ist und bei einem 5 Stern Hotel nicht der Fall sein sollte. Hotel allgemein sehr schön - in der Hauptsaison wie überall sehr viele Leute - und Kinder sollte man nicht hassen.

Pros: Strandpromenade ist herrlich
Cons: Ja, Hierarchien mit Zoneneinteilung der Kunden beim Frühstück und Abendesse abschaffen. Keine Balibetten die eh kaum jemand nutzt!
