More-than-okay during graduation week

I had very little choice in Guildford that week, as I later found out it was graduation week. The place is walkable to town (1.5 miles) but not walkable back in 30 C of heat. Confusingly the 4 and 5 buses merge routes on the way back, meaning there is no number 5 returning. In terms of the hotel/motel, it is a budget hotel, but with decent room management overall. It is a back-building to a music venue, and I stayed there midweek, although on one night the music was on stage, the noise levels were fine, and finished promptly at 11. The room was clean, though it did have the predictable signs of repairs from late night domestics. However the place was totally calm from Sunday night through Tuesday night. One minor annoyance was the broken and running tap in room 3, but as I was comparing with other basic alternatives at three times the price (due to grad week) I was actually pretty pleased. As long as you don't expect much staff availability, the place is run okay, and if choosing on a similar budget, I would go there again. The pub itself is also quite jolly, and the staff friendly and willing.

Run down venue

Pros: The location

Location: It suited us for our family BBQ
We wanted to stay in a nice 'quaint' B n B near to the family BBQ locally. It's location was good but the taxi service was inefficient. We checked in early but were given the wrong keys for our room, so the bar man had to get another set. My son and girlfriend were in another room and they too were given the wrong keys, which was annoying when we got back to the pub at 11.30pm and then had to wake the landlord. Both rooms had very outdated decor, although the bedding and towels were clean. The shower unit had mould and there was obviously damp in the corner of the bathroom. However, the staff were really friendly in the morning and apologised about the mixup of keys. We thought we could get breakfast there, but they no longer do breakfast so we went to a local cafe.

Nice hotel

Thought we getting b&b but that was no case. Room had lots of large cobwebs. People using the pub and also the accommodations could give some respect of other users as some guest were really loud.

Nice Place

Good place for the price. Staff were friendly and the pub is lively, The hotel was quiet though. Only downside was the hallway light was broken but wasn't really a problem. Lovely place, will stay again.
