Extremely short staffed on arrival evening on front desk and kitchen. We were left waiting for over 10 minutes to check in and had a queue behind as there was a problem with the guest s booking in front of me. Whilst she was on the phone talking to someone the receptionist ignored the queue and just waited for the person to finish her cal which she continued for a lengthy time. Eventually she ushered me over to check me and some other guests behind me in, as she finally realised everyone was now getting impatient. Although she apologised for the wait I believe that common sense should have prevailed a lot sooner!, Our hotel room was at the back and was extremely hot and noisy as we had to have the window open all night. Food took nearly an hour to come and the poor kitchen guy was apologising to every table he brought food out to. Would not rush back to stay

Check in should not take that long and we try our best to get all calls out of the way and give everyone a quick and easy check in. Our kitchen is very small and we try our best to get all of our orders out as quickly as possible. We understand the rooms are not suited for the hot weather but, we are hoping to change in the future. We understand there is no excuses for the bad servers you have been give but, we will take on your feedback to improve our hotel. We hope you give us another change to show you our 10/10 servres. One of the best nights in a hotel I have had for years. I wished I had asked for a feather pillow though. Really professional staff in all areas.

Great Convenient Hotel

Pros: Very clean and friendly with good breakfast.
Location: Very easy to find and central to many places.
Ideally placed Hotel for visiting Southampton or Cruising. We have stayed several time prior to joining a Cruise Ship.

Easy to locate as close to M271 J1.

Pros: It was close to where I needed to be in Southampton.
Cons: As opposed to hotels with associated pubs, hotel kitchens start cooking at 5p.m., which is O.K. but menu was limited and too many with garlic.
Location: Location ideal being next to M271. Southampton hosts county cricket and Beaulieu Autojumble.
Own large car park, reception and room staff extremely helpful.
