this impressive looking thatched roof hotel come pub is within easy reach of both romsey/ Winchester & even Southampton.. this hotel is very deceiving and is lager than it looks with many rooms and facilities our room was large and very quite with all the usual room facilities One down side if it is a down side!? Is that the breakfast and evening meals are very expensive parking is free with ample spaces would we stay here again probably yes if we ever visit this area.

Easy check in, great room. Staff excellent. Due to COVID the restaurant was quite. I hope this venue survives since it’s clearly geared up for weddings and similar celebration events. If in the area we would stay again

Very comfortable room, although when we stayed air conditioning would’ve been a blessing but reception found us a fan. Room and bathroom clean although the balcony needed a sweep and cobwebs removed from windows. The shower only trickled out if you wanted a colder shower.

A bit dated and lacks finish.

I stayed at potters heron for one night and was dissappointed by the overall finish of the rooms. The hotel overall is very dated and in need of some restoration work (not just the renovation following the fire).

Room was OK, but food really let it down!

I ordered a £22 rump steak (med-rare), and was seriously unimpressed. The steak was dry and tough and lacked flavour. For £22 I was expecting a lot more. Please don't waste your money on this!!

Warm welcome, big comfy bed and cracking value

Easy parking close to entrance and reception looked suitably festive. Nice touch to be seated while checking in. Room was large, warm and nicely designed with hairdryer position by the dressing table. Good selection of toiletries and beverages in the room. Wooden slatted ceiling ruins the overall look. Super value, will book again.
