Nice place only 7 mins walk from Harrogate centre. We stayed in one of the turret rooms, really nice large bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

Our stay at the Ascot House Hotel was lovely. It’s a beautiful property and great location for exploring Harrogate. The staff were warm and welcoming, room comfortable and the breakfast was lovely; everything we needed for a great weekend break. Whilst the car park is small and quite a challenge to manoeuvre in with anything bigger than a small vehicle, this is a minor criticism given that most other hotels only offer offsite parking at an additional cost. We had a couple of minor issues with our room, on arrival - one being that the riser on the shower wasn’t working, so the shower head kept slipping down. Despite reporting this immediately, nothing was done. However, when I raised it the following morning it was dealt with by the time we returned. We also reported that the TV wasn’t working well and this was answered with a note, left in the room, to say there had been a problem with a local transmitter. As I wasn’t convinced, I examined the TV myself to discover the aerial cable was old and a connector had started to come loose. After 5 minutes I rectified the issue myself. Whilst I would have preferred that the hotel had acted promptly and resolved all issues for me, when we next returned to the room they had left us a note to say sorry and two small bottles of Prosecco, some glasses, an ice bucket and an Hydrangea flower cut from the garden. This was obviously appreciated. Overall though, our stay was lovely and we will definitely return if we visit again.

Great location, very accommodating staff

Pros: Ebooker advert
Location: Walking distance to the Town Centre and Exhibition centre
The hotel accommodated our late arrival very well. Parking was available. Rooms were very comfortable and presented well. Breakfast was lovely.
