Very disappointed with the the level of service from the “reception manager” on the checking in desk. Two words to summarise would be Unhelpful, and rude. I have actually never received such dismal service. The reception manager wanted to charge me for a second bottle of water from the alleged spring the hotel has on its grounds. The bottles are small in size, it was a family room that I had booked, there was no other access to water and I am a breast feeding mum of anew baby. I also have two large teenagers and had driven up from the South Coast. We were very thirsty! There were not enough cups in our rooms, for Three of us, or beds set up, there was One biscuit (that the teenagers argued over) and there was just the one toilet roll! The manager informed me that she was the manager of the hotel. Wanted me to believe that there was no other member of staff more senior then her. I was very disappointed, I felt that she was dismissive, extremely rude, and argumentative . I paid over £160 for one room for one night. We were treated very poorly, I would not recommend and I would never return to this place. It’s a money orientated hotel, but service and quality poor. The Resturant on site a lemonade and lime cost £5.20! Just to put things into perspective! Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are far nicer places to stay locally where you will be treated as if your custom actually matters.
