Set within the High Peak, an excellent choice

Ideal for us

With a family party in the area on one day we had a short break to enjoy more of the Peak District. The inn had a leaflet of walks out and we spent one morning doing a two hour walk to Cobden Edge - the directions were easy to follow. We also drove into New Mills to walk the Millennium Walkway and part of the Goyt Way. We had a short car trip out to Hayfield and surrounding area ending in Lyme Park. The Pack Horse Inn served great food, both for breakfast and evening meals with a wide range of choice and a Specials Board which changed daily. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the fruit bowl was much appreciated.

great stay

Pros: Everything
Only stayed for 2 nights unfortunately but had a wonderful experience. The room was very clean and so comfortable. The little touches like the bowl of fruit and fresh milk make all the difference. Location is really nice and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately we did not eat dinner at the hotel but the menu looked fantastic.Overall a lovely relaxing experience. Also the breakfast is amazing.
