I was given a bedroom for disabled people even though I am not disabled. The staff were remoteon the fifth floor and couldn’t really speak iEnglish or did’t try to. 38 floors and 3 lifts. People were waiting up to half an hour to ascended. I really enjoyed my stay in HKG, the people seemed very kind, gentle and helpful, all apart from the staff in this bloody hotel. They are rude, disinterested and uncaring. The advertised swimming poll was closed down for work to be done and the third floor restaurant was poor. None of the constituent parts were knitted together. The place had no identity and you were left very much to your own devices. I can accept any kind of failings as long as there is a good heart, there isn’t one here

Not a very good experience during my recent stay - very rude staff who weren’t helpful at all and disrespectful towards us. Only 4 small lifts in building so there was always a que for them which was even worse at check in / check out times when people had suitcases, room not that big at all, bed was very uncomfortable and the views weren’t even that good. For the price, I don’t think this hotel is worth it to be honest. Best part was the fact the MTR was just round the corner.

A better hostel

Pros: I dont want to be unpolite
Cons: Liftsystem, breakfast system, rooms
Breakfast room for 450 people 1 toaster and no other bread available, sorry never again, shower curtain too short, the toilet is at the same time under water....., not 1 cupboard in the room, you live like the homeless, out of your suitcase...

Leisure

The lovely glamour of decor in communal areas is not followed through in the rooms. There are 4 small lifts. Half bath shower in full harbourview room ok but need to step over the toilet to get in it, room too small to use toilet without leaving the door open to your room. Hence no pics in advert for bathrooms. No wardrobe in room a couple of hooks are provided?? Tv and wifi was adequate. Windows in rooms are a bit dirty on 33rd floor could do with a clean but this is Hong Kong in general so if your looking for perfect and clean don't go to hk period. I found the hotel acceptable for the price paid and very convenient for my needs room was tidied daily I could stay here again.

Easter weekend break

This hotel is not a four star, it's tired and my deluxe double room was small, as were all the rooms of members of my party, having said that it was good value, ticked the boxes and was extremely convenient for our weekend. Its in a great location and an easy 15 minutes walk away from Central and all its bars, restaurants & shops. There are also plenty of amenities in the immediate area around the hotel and a supermarket across the road.

I have never stayed in hotel with so small and badly design bathroom/toilet. The bath towels they supplied were unclean with spot of blood stain.

Great option on HK island

Basically, this hotel is great. Aim to get a room 30th floor and above if you want a harbour view as there is construction work that obscures the view below that level. Great location near the metro and tram line and staff are accommodating. Only disappointment was that the pool was 'closed for winter'-it was 30 degrees C outside!!

Holiday 1st visit

A little disappointed in the area that the hotel was situated as this was our first visit to hongkong. The room was very small with no wardrobe made things difficult .The wash basin being outside the bathroom did't help either. The one good think about our stay was the staff ,very helpful on every occasion and could not be faulted. Best Western other hotels around the world have been fine

Difficulty trying toget a refund

I had booked 2 rooms and the guest for the 2nd room had a medical emergency on arrival at the airport and had to go to hospital. We had the ambulance receipt for this but nothing else as the would be guest was still in hospital. The Duty Manager, Ted, would not accept this for a refund but insisted on a medical certificate from the hospital. We cancelled the room anyway. When we finally got the hospital discharge slip when the would be guest was discharged a few days later Ted said it was now too late to agree a refund. A bit too rigid I would say. Room was basic and clean. Good location of you want to be at that end of town.
