We stayed in Foxglove (3 bedrooms) with our little terrier. Ron met us on arrival to show us around; he was also very helpful in suggesting places to visit, and there was a good set of leaflets and information in the cottage. There was only my husband and I but the cottage would still provide a decent amount of room when fully occupied. The bed was comfortable but note that it is low down so if you have issues standing up from a low start point you may have a little difficulty. There is a sheltered wooden picnic table and benches outside, which was lovely for eating our evening meals whilst listening to the birds and watching the pheasants, rabbits and ducks on the grassy slope below. There is everything you could need for a stay, the water is lovely and hot and the shower is powerful. There's a walk on the property past a pond (lots of tadpoles and my husband almost stepped on a frog!) to the river and waterfalls and there are benches to sit on and soak up the peace of the countryside. I also enjoyed a walk in the community woodland a couple of minutes' walk from the cottage where there are several marked paths to follow. This is a good location for anyone wanting to be close to Inverness yet still rural, and ideally situated for exploring the Highlands (we also drove to Skye and John O'Groats from here). This is a lovely part of the world and we enjoyed our stay here.
