Disappointing

Room was spotless on arrival. First thing I did was to turn down the thermostat as I get quite warm. It seemed ok at first but overnight got really stuffy. Both Windows opened but as I was on the ground floor I didn't want to leave them open. Neither the fan or temperature settings worked. By 4am I'd had enough and decided to make my way home. Shower curtain was annoying and kept sticking to my legs and there was only shampoo, body gel and soap. Although the sign said I could ring reception for more items I honestly couldn't be bothered. Towels were lovely. The main event was the lady in the restaurant who looked after me so well during dinner. She deserves a special mention and a thank you x I wouldn't choose to stay again simply because the restaurant was expensive, and I expect good quality toiletries to be easily available and I didn't have a good sleep. The great thing was that I missed all the traffic and was home by 8am!

My Stay

Pros: Some of the staff were very helpful and kind
Cons: They need to know what their housekeeping staff have done.
We got there late the staff were pleasant. However the reception staff asked for payment when I had already paid on line. Her manager had to step in. He was very nice knew what he was doing and helped with booking a taxi for the following day. The lady then made things worse by giving me a room that was filthy had not been cleaned at all.The room given to me was smelling of what I would presume was KFC and the toilet was absolutely revolting. I went back to the desk to request a new room. She reluctantantly gave me another room. It was obvious that the bed in the room I was given was not freshly made but was manageable therefore thought that it was not worth complaning again.
