Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel is in the heart of Istanbul, historical places and sea front on walking distance. People are friendly and you can also go around on tram which is very cheap under 50 pence per person. Food bit expensive but you can find good quality food in reasonable price.

wonderful experience

Staying in Maywood hotel was one of the my most wonderful memorable experience in Istanbul. All the staff from manager to the reception are handsome mannerly gentlemen (Enver, Mehmet......). They are so friendly and make you feel very comfortable and happy. I am deeply touched by their warm heart. The location of the hotel is great ! It is located just in the center of the old town and the walking distance to everywhere (Historical building, seaside and boat ,metro, tram station; and food , shopping area). The room was clean, quiet and well decorated. The feast like beakfast was superb! There are plenty of choice of traditional Turkish food and fruit. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to have extra good experience of Istanbul.

Die lage war extrem Zentral. Die Türen sind nicht dicht deshalb hört man jedes lärm. Das Zimmer war klein so dass man mit 3 Gepäcken fast kein Platz mehr hatte.

Zentralgelegen, sauber, nett aber mit Schwächen

Pros: Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Hoher Schlafkomfort. Reichhaltiges Frühstückbuffet. Nettes Personal. Gute Lage für Touristen.
Cons: Gäste stören sich gegenseitig (keine Schallisolierung). Einrichtung marode. Kein Trinkwasser. Mangelhafte Beleuchtung & Belüftung. A/C kühlt nicht.
Location: Die zentrale Lage ermöglicht Ausflüge zu historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Galata-Turm) zu Fuß. Interessante Umgebung.
Wir waren 5 Personen und hatten insgesamt 3 Zimmer auf verschiedenen Etagen, die unterschiedlich waren. Eins war fast einwandfrei, eins war enttäuschend und eins war irgendwo dazwischen. Man muss schon etwas Glück haben, um ein gutes Zimmer zu bekommen, was gegen das Hotel spricht. Ich habe bezüglich meines Aufenthaltes hier gemischte Gefühle. Wirklich große Probleme gab es nicht, aber manches könnte man echt besser. Die 4-Sterne, die das Hotel angeblich hat, entsprechen nach deutschem Standard höchstens 3, eher 2 Sternen. Angesichts des niedrigen Preises war der Aufenthalt insgesamt OK und das Hotel daher (bedingt) zu empfehlen. Wer zum Spartarif übernachten und frühstücken will, ist hier richtig. Wer den Hotelaufenthalt an sich genießen will, sollte weiter suchen.

Huippuhotelli loistopaikalla

Pros: Aamupala
Cons: Kova ilmastoinnin humina huoneessa olisi hyvä saada vähemmäksi. Ilmastointipuhaltaa suoraan sänkyyn.
Location: kaikki käsillä. Helppo tulla.
Nautittava kokemus. Tulisin milloin tahansa takaisin. Lähellä on miljoona ruokapaikkaa, kauppoja, elämää, nähtävyyksiä. Iso puisto ja meren läheisyys antavat myös luonnon ystävälle mieluisia hetkiä. Jos jos tykkä juopotella ja bilettää, niin varmasti siihenkin tarkoituksen mtämä hoteli on mainioin tukikohta.
