Comfortable - within 10 mins walk of arrivals
There are two ways to walk to this hotel, either exiting to the left from the domestic terminal, going past the airport police station and staying on the left until the hotel becomes visible and you stay on its left and walk round the front to the entrance, or out a backdoor of the main car park and across a road bridge to arrive at the hotel from the right, but neither route is signposted and both will get you wet if it’s raining. The alternative is to follow the signs past the car park to the bus terminal for the once every 15 minutes bus. On the way back to the airport the bus drops you at departures rather than the bus terminal. Check involves authorising a returnable deposit. Rooms are adequate though the division between the room and the shower is opaque glass. The mirrors on the outside of the hotel mean the rooms are private even if the curtains are open, all the lights are needed to illuminate the room, furniture was old but double bed had two bedside cabinets, was an armchair and leg rest, a desk with chair, air-conditioning, separate desk with a TV and a pull out draw containing a kettle and multiple tea and coffee options, and a chest of draws. Toiletries provided, though not for teeth or shaving, wifi was good. Could be noisy if other guests were so inclined. Bathroom door was loud when it jammed and a small tax has to be paid on checkout. It’s not possible to walk to the Rhodesfield Gautrain or hotels on the other side of the motorway. Good but not luxuary.
