Poor hotel, poor service, look elsewhere

Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Hotel facelift/renovations, air conditioning/ventilation in rooms, staff training in restaurant
Location: Convenient for Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, University of Warwick
Small room and facilities were basic - was expecting something much better at this price. There is no air conditioning and the room was really hot even on a not exceptionally hot day. Staff were friendly but service in restaurant was really poor; they only had indian menu available and even then the food was not great. Drinks were forgotten and they also forgot the plates! Would recommend staying elsewhere - I certainly wouldn't consider returning here...

Reasonable hotel close to Warwick

Needed a one night stay with my daughter for a visit to Warwick University. The hotel is close and to the town of Warwick & the Castle. They have a breakfast buffet for approx £10 per head which was ok. The room was comfortable for one or two nights. We didn't use the restaurant so I can't comment on that but I would recommend the hotel as an inexpensive option a short drive from all the amenities etc

Good value but needs updating

Good location for Leamington, Warwick. Very good value. Room very tired and no evidence of minor work being done. Cupboard door not attached, chain lock broken, bathroom shabby, rusty in bath where large patch of enamel missing, baths needs resealing. A better room would have encouraged us to return.

So dreadful I checked out a day early!

Pros: The staff were friendly.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Close to Stoneleigh Park.
The faux leather padded headboard was ripped and shredded. When the bathroom door shut, the bolt lock on the front door unlocked itself. The shower curtain was old and stained yellow. No hot water from the shower. The kettle didn't fit under the sink tap so I had to fill the kettle from the bath. Cold room with a thin duvet, no spare duvet or blankets. I asked for a ground floor room and was given a room at the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor. Everything about this hotel is tired, drab, dirty, old, skanky. It was so disgusting I checked out a day early because I could not stay there another night. No mats to soak up the rain by the disabled door so it was slippery and unsafe.

SMART AND PLEASENT HOTEL. EASY ACCESS TO MOTORWAYS

Pros: aS MENTIONED ABOVE, IT HASGOOD AMBIENCE AND PLEASANTENVIROMENT.
Cons: NOTHING THAT I HAVE NOTICED THAT NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED IMMEDIATELY
Location: ATTENDED A MARRIAGE PARTY AT NEARBY STONELEY ABBEY AND FOUND IT VERY EASY AND ACCESSIBLE FROM THE HOTEL
GOOD AMBIENCE AND NEAR COUNTRYSIDE FOR VISITS. CLEAN STYLISH, AND HELPFUL STAFFS AND GOOD BREAKFAST, WITH ADEQUATE CAR PARKING SPACE.MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT OF PLEASANT SURPRISE.

Ideal location,would stay there again,

hotel clean,helpfull staff,there is a resturant in hotel but apart from that if you want something to eat then you will have to travel too lemington spa. But hotel is perfect if you are visiting Warwick,lemington spa or Birmingham (take trip to cadburys world). Easy to get too with great road links,very quiet area (no road noise) i would stay there again. i put 4 star as hotel is not 5 star but your not paying 5 star prices. great value for money.
