Rude, confrontational owner. Marched us outside to this car park after we had struggled to park - I guess to show us we were crap at parking, only to find that indeed his car park is unbelievably tiny and as it happens his staff were the ones parking badly so we couldn’t get into any space. We then showed him the mould in the bathroom, thick dust around the vanity mirror in the room, the stain on the carpet and stain in the ceiling; he gave zero apology and no offer to move us. Finally I premium about our rooms considering their condition and the fact they didn’t feel premium (which is what we had upgraded to) & that our beds were just 2 singles pushed together with a sheet on top not the “Premium Double” we booked. His genuine response to this was; oh yea ok well if they are dirty like that i’m Sorry & you didn’t book premium rooms. After strenuously denying our upgrade I had to show him out booking... at which point he said ‘oh ok well your rooms are premium due to their size, standard rooms are really small’ ?! Either way there was no offer to sort out the fact we didn’t have premium rooms or maybe change us to rooms that weren’t dirty... this is THE worst hotel i’ve Stayed in for £193 - for 2 rooms - in many years. FYI if somewhere gets just a few bad reviews steer clear! I wish we had :(

I am sorry to read that you have had a far from satisfactory experience at the hotel, this is not the standards our guests are used to, and certainly something which I will discuss with the owner and housekeepers. I will however add that all of our King/Twin rooms are the same layout and there is no option to 'upgrade' to a 'better' version. Our room types are; Single, Double (ensuite with shower), King/Twin (ensuite with bath & shower), Executive Suite, Family Rooms. Since your visit the owner has regrouted and resealed all the bathrooms in the hotel, this was a task he was undergoing at the time.

Hotel location is great and looks good from outside, inside was very poorly maintained and our room was dusty. The bathroom was dirty, breakfast was good, didn’t think it was worth the money and have stopped in better b&b.
