Decent hotel in the middle of nowhere

Pros: Simple, clean and quiet.

Cons: Make it clear that there is nowhere to get any food nearby.

Location: Has ended up being in he middle of nowhere after the local access road changes. Close to junction 20 of M6 although sat nav took me off at J 19!

Hotel itself was clean and modern, albeit very basic. Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful but was most apologetic about the lack of services around the hotel. Not the hotels fault I guess as local roads and access through to junction 20 of M6 has obviously recently changed but I was very disappointed to have to go back out in the car to find somewhere to get something to eat, and even then it was a pot noodle from the garage! I’ll know for next time!

When we arrived, the room smelled musty as the windows were closed. The room was clean but did definitely need airing prior to arrival. A few additional touches would make such a difference. Tea and coffee facilities would greatly improve things, as would basic toiletries in the bathroom and a bin.

Convenient for Manchester Airport

Pros: The hotel was inexpensive,clean and suited my needs as it was a one night stay reasonably close to Manchester Airport.

Cons: The hotel advert said there were two double beds in the room. There was only one. Ditch the appalling sofa bed which is impossible to to sleep on.

Hotel is good value for a basic hotel. I was expecting two double beds in the room, however there was only one double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable you are better off sleeping on the floor, at least you would not have to suffer a multitude of hard uncomfortable springs digging into your body. I had to fold towels to cover the so called mattress and also fold the duvet in half to cover the towels, just to make a semi comfortable sleeping surface on the ridiculously uncomfortable sofa bed.
