Location good, though entrance of hotel is not well marked therefore hard to find. Google maps leads you to the car park entrance. A block or two away from station, hotels, shopping, all major amenities. Room size moderate, bed wide, comfortable and soft. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Major major problem is the room is always in deep dark shadow. Even in the full daylight, I struggled. I could not see my face in the mirror enough to do my makeup etc, or other essential self-care routines. I ended up with eyestrain from watching tv in the dim light. I just couldn't see anything. The window is fairly small and has a lovely view of the back stairwell of the next building, which is so close you could almost reach it with a walking stick stuck out the window. It feels like being in a cave even when all lights are on. I asked the staff lady to move me to a brighter room and she said that regrettably, all the rooms were the same. So she offered to give me another lamp, which was a little LED desk lamp. This marginally improved the situation but not enough for me to want to ever book here again. I'm sorry. It's a comfortable hotel in most other respects. Just something urgently needs to be done to improve the lighting, otherwise the guest experience is basically a misery.
