I travelled solo to Hong Kong. Due to HK protest, unsafe and flight arrival late, I booked a hotel room (Case Deluxe Hotel, Hong Kong)at 21-Nov-19 for one night. By the time I checked in, it's almost midnight. The receptionist lady was so rude and unprofessional. She checked my booking and asked for passport for reference. When she spotted my middle name was not shown on her booking record. She threatened me that it is not allowed to check-in due to the name on the booking is not matched entirely to my passport. She even didn't care I have the email confirmation and booking reference to show her. I explained that I forgot. Because in UK and Europe what we concern is the booking reference and email confirmation as well as the first and last name. In addition, she requested me to sign two credit card payments. One for the room charge and the other is for deposit. I asked why do I have to sign for deposit. I expected she should explained to me how does it work in this check in process. I was disappointed and worried..... I could not able to sleep well that night. Location wise is perfect for solo traveller because it is next to underground station or airport bus is just at the door steps.
