Central location in Kowloon district, within easy walking distance of shops, train stations, waterfront and various attractions of interest. The staff are helpful and friendly. We arrived ahead of our scheduled check-in time, but were, after some room shuffling, allocated a room. First room was musty as if it hadn't been occupied for a while, the alternative room was of a similar standard. Room 3 was acceptable with views over the harbour. Note rooms with twin beds is smaller than those with a king size bed. All three room we saw were not exactly what we expected. They were a bit tired, carpets a bit worn as was some of the decoration. The bathrooms were a bit small and showers which worked efficiently, but could benefit from a bit of TLC. The photographs use to promote the bedrooms are flattering. On the plus side the use of the Executive Room is appreciated and a chance to meet other guests and exchange stories of the day in a relaxed and friendly environment. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Man ist mitten im Zentrum und rasch überall. Das Hotel ist nicht das Neuste aber der Standard ist gut und entspricht durchaus mit den besseren 4 Sterne Hotels in Europa mithalten. Das Personal an der Reception ist mässig zuvorkommend und manchmal lohnt sich das Rückfragen. Gesamt hat sehr gut.

Disappointing experience

Cons: Room cleanliness and smell. Room furniture. Room lighting. Room television.
Hotel is in a nice location in Hong Kong's Tsim sha tsui. Metro stop is really near the hotel, just around the corner. I didn't use any services that the hotel provides so this experience focuses only to the hotel room. Hotel has 4 stars but the room was nowhere near 4 stars. Room was worn out, furniture had a lot of scratches and other marks. Room had maybe the worst quality (sound and image) television I've ever seen in my life. Basic channels, I think 4 star hotel should have at least some movie channels (other than HBO). Other issue was the room cleanliness. Dust in almost every corner and stains for example in the bathroom door. Overall cleaning should be done in between guests. "Luxurious bathrobe" (as advertised) was really a wrinkly, faded (once black) robe. Room smell was extremely damp. Room/bathroom was also very dark because it didn't have ceiling lights. Praiseworthy thing was view from the hotel room window (21st floor). I wouldn't come back to this hotel next time in Hong Kong. Disappointing experience.
