My daughter and I spent two nights at Lucy's Guesthouse in the double & single bed room. Alex, Cleopatra and Lucy are fantastic hosts and we found them very welcoming. The accommodation is modern with everything you need. The little touches in the room make all the difference which sets a good standard - beach towels, lovely toiletries, blanket for bedding (great to keep you warm at night whilst the a/c reduces the humidity) Alex kindly arrange bicycle hire. We could have chosen home cooked breakfast, but we'd already travelled the islands with our own food. The refrigerator in the room was great to store our food and we used the main kitchen to prepare our breakfast. The hosts are very flexible with food arrangements and can also provide an evening meal option if required. The location is great and we walked from the ferry port on arrival. Alex kindly arranged a taxi (electric golf buggy) to take us back to the ferry port, as there had been heavy rain and some of the road areas were under water. Some parts of the island suffer from lack of proper road drainage following heavy rain, and this is an issue caused by the local council and not the fault of the guesthouses. I spoke to the mayor of the island (who lives opposite Lucy's Guesthouse), and she explained about the drainage issue and promised that this issue would be resolved in the coming year and welcomed us back to the island to see the changes. Apart form the flooding issues, we had a fantastic time on La Digue

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Lucy und Alex begrüßt, durch das Haus geführt und betreut. Alex organisierte uns schnell ein paar Fahrräder (150 Rupien/10 Euro pro Rad und 24 Stunden; angeblich Einheitspreis auf La Digue), und auch sonst waren die beiden sichtlich um das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste bemüht. Alles war sehr sauber und in fast neuwertigem Zustand. Bis auf das Waschbecken im Bad, das nicht nur rann (wurde uns bei der Begehung mitgeteilt), sondern nach einer ersten „Behandlung“ durch einen Fachmann fast verstopft war. Ein begabter Klempner könnte auf La Digue gut gebraucht werden. Die Matratzen sind sehr hart. Wir mochten das zwar, doch für andere könnte das ein Ausschlusskriterium sein. Insgesamt dank des hervorragenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Très belle expérience dans ce nouveau guest house de la Digue. Calme et gentillesse au rendez-vous. Le guest house est tenu par Lucy (la maman, seychelloise) et Alex son fils. Revenu récemment d’europe pour vivre à la Digue, cette famille sera vous recevoir dans cette maison entièrement neuve mais de style typiquement Seychellois en plein coeur de la Digue. Les commerces sont proches (supermarché STC et différents Take Away) restaurants etc, le bord de mer est seulement à 5 min à pied et la plage de Anse Source D’Argent à moins de 7 min en vélo. La maison est très bien équipée. Elle dispose d’une grande cuisine avec micro onde, four, plaque de cuisson ainsi qu’un barbecue à l’exterieur. Les chambres sont bien décorées, avec un mobilier en bois, très bonne connexion internet. Je vous invite a séjourner dans ce jolie guest house à la rencontre de cette belle famille.
