Nice location but terrible place to stay in

Pros: The location only
Cons: All of the above in the comments
Location: Good location, near the marina and a close walk to the old town and Market stalls along the marina. Shuttle bus to the beachclub app 5 mins
Great location and near the marina with plenty of cafes, a supermarket nearby to get local goods out of and a short walk to the Old Town. The hotel however was another story. Throughout the stay, there were numerous ants in the whole apartment which were flying around - we notified the receptionist, however, the ants were still there daily. The air con was left on daily to keep the room cool, however as a result, the air blown out of the fan from external was hot air blowing back in. The television was wifi based and as a result of the 'weak' signal for wifi, the tv barely worked a few hours out of the 5 days we stayed there. The necessities, toiletries, hankies were provided sparingly. There were many a days where we were provided with no bath mat or no hand towel at all and had to phone to request these basic items. You call this a 4 star hotel ?? You basically had to wash your hands and wipe it on your own clothes. Additionally, at the indoor pool, we took our own mini bottle of water to the pool to hydrate ourselves and were told we were not allowed to drink our own purchased water - but instead, had to purchase their's at the bar for 3 Euro for a 50cl bottle - utter rip off Toilets were cleaned sparingly and not thoroughly enough. The reception staff require to be more smilier in my opnion as they barely cracked a smile.

Our stay was very good while the renovations were still going on it did not interrupt our stay. We had an issue with our first room and Anabel from customer services gave us another room which was much better. The bus shuttle to Duna beach was a welcomed addition as was the complimentary loungers at the beach. We both had treatments with Eva at the Tivoli Spa and were sorry we did not avail of this at the beginning of our holiday so we would have had more treatments as they were very affordable and excellent treatments. We definitely would consider returning and have already recommended the Tivoli to friends.

You get what you pay for

Pros: Location and Cost
Cons: Rooms are tired and need refurbishing .
Location: Near beach, Marina and old town
We booked the Tivoli for a Golf trip due to its location and cost. Location was great easy walk to Marina and the old town with a couple of friendly bars over the road. We did not use any of the facilities but Pool and pool area looked fine. Pros Location Clean Staff were great Value for money All the public areas look like they have been upgraded. Breakfast OK Cons Rooms were tired (But clean)

A lovely hotel, near the marina and the old town.

Pros: The pool, the bar, the private beach and it's proximity to the town.
Cons: The bathroom needed upgrading.
Location: Great location, near the marina and the old town.
Stayed for 5 nights in July with my 17 yr old granddaughter. We both loved it. We enjoyed the pool area and the bar for a happy hour drink before going out for dinner. Lots of restaurants in walking distance, we particularly enjoyed Adego Marina. We used the hotel shuttle bus to visit their private beach on 3 occasions. This was very successful as they had a pool with an excellent lunch menu. We had a twin garden view room with a balcony. We only used the balcony to dry tow els and beachwear because the garden below looked a bit like a jungle! Our room was spacious with good air con. The bathroom facilities were reasonable but the bath was badly stained. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Charming Hotel

I have stayed at the Tivoli Hotel in Lagos a number of times. This is a good quality Hotel that is hidden in the centre of this beautiful historic town. You could easily walk down the street it is on and not realise it is there. It seems to have evolved from several interlinked properties rather than being a purpose built condominium. The result is a charming hotel that resembles a warren of different areas and rooms giving a wonderful ambience to the whole property. The restaraunts are very comfortable and staff are by and large helpful and accomodating. The outsidecpool and terrace is very pleasant and there is an indoor pool and gym. My last visit 2weeks ago included 2 rooms. One was in a newer part of the hotel which I have stayed in previously and was excellent. The other room was in an older part of the hotel and was comfortable but did seem rather damp resulting in an overall musty aroma..... not a major problem to me but my travelling companion was rather upset by this. The only other issue I had with this booking was that despite booking 2 rooms on the same booking for myself and travel companion and my 14 year old daughter, they were on opposite ends of the hotel and on different levels of the hotel about 5 minutes walk away. It was lucky that my travel companion was happy to sleep in my daughter's room to get away from the musky dampness of my room as I would not have been happy for her to be in a room so far away on her own. One last comment is that this Hotel seems more suited to the more mture traveller rather than families as there are no facilities for children and is a bus ride away from the main Meia Preai beech
