Cheap for a reason

Did not enjoy our stay here at all , when we eventually got to check in we went to find our room was in the old end of the hotel ( we we asked if we wanted to upgrade to the new part for $60 extra per night ) on arriving to the room we found dirty towels on the towel rack and gum on the headboard of the bed and shoe prints on the wall , we then tried to call housekeeping who didn't answer and eventually had to go back to check-in and we were then given a new room which was a lot better !

Stratosphere

I upgraded my room on check in the room was good but had some teething problems, the shower could not be resolved unfortunately as it took quite a while to warm up, the flow was very poor (maintenance stated apparently low pressure shower heads have been fitted which look impressive but flow is akin to a watering can) controls to shower on adjacent wall so delay occurs when adjusting temperature. Room service did not hoover or empty bins or replace coffee on the last day. Close to SLS Hotel and monorail, facilities good in hotel, buffet was great but use casino discount card, entertainment in theatre brilliant. We also had night time bus tour (hop on and off) got off bus outside Stratosphere 10 mins before tour ended which was great. Good hotel marred by housekeeping and awful shower.

Stratosphere, top marks!

Lovely clean family room on 17th floor. Views towards the mountains. Comfy beds. Free entry to the tower observatory. Only disappointment was no fridge or coffee facilities, the in room safe was however a bonus.

My 30th trip to vegas

Pros: the hotel still has free self parking, at the moment.
Cons: The cocktail servers in the casino don't come round often enough.
Location: Located at north end of strip so you need a car really or you spend quite a bit on taxi's or busses.
Overall not a bad hotel, my only complaints are that too many people bring their young kids to vegas, and really inconsiderate hotel guests shouting at each other in hallways at all hours of the night, but maybe I am just a bit picky, and also in my opinion the chance of winning anything in the casino are really remote.

A bit dated but they are refurbishing, Great value

Pros: Rooftop view.Nice informal Hotel without all the thrills.,
Cons: Bar and food prices high for the hotel.Room was dated but comfortable.
Location: Very end of strip. Ideal for bus outside,Must be very fit to walk to the strip.

Vegas trip

Cons: Rooms need better sound proofing and the casino needs new carpeting
Having stayed here about twenty times over the past ten years the hotel could do with a revamp, for example I could hear the couple in next room making love and also hear noisy screaming kids, and thurs, fri, sat, and Sunday nights the pool parties start at 6pm and that is something I just don't like, and the resort fee is too much for the class of hotel.
