Night light in room ceiling was lit continuously and reflected in the wardrobe door mirrors. This made the room too bright for sleeping at night. There was also an outside fan noise from 6am onwards that we found irritating and disturbed our sleep. Otherwise the room, hotel facilities and staff were excellent.

Very close to the cathedral and castle

Pros: Location. Modern room. Great shower, Spacious bathroom.
Cons: Some kind of net curtain, whilst not particularly attractive, would help retain some privacy whilst allowing natural light.
Location: Lots of bars, restaurants, individual shops and of course, the cathedral and castle. Wonderfully picturesque area of the city.
I was in an annexe to the main hotel building which was located in the car park. Being at ground level meant that I couldn't have any natural light whilst retaining any privacy so the curtains had to be closed at all times. It was also a bit of a squeeze between and behind parked cars to get into my room. The room probably hadn't been used for a while because it was very damp and must smelling although it was nicely decorated and modern. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection including (duck) eggs Benedict and Omelette Arnold Bennett.
