I arrived on Sat 1st June for one night to be in Liverpool for the Champions League Final.Got to the hotel for about midday to find out that we had to pay £10 for the privilige of onsite parking, not happy with this as doesn't state this on my booking.We then got our room and just found it very dated....hot water in bathroom sink "very hot" and cold tap broken.Dirty smell in corridors throughout the hotel.Don't think we'll be returning...

I needed to stay somewhere that was close to a training venue and cost effective, Hallmark Inn, Liverpool provided this. Polite and friendly staff. Accommodating to requests, efficient check in and check out. Room was a small single with en-suite but cosy and clean. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Was suitable for my needs.

Lovely hotel in a great location.

Hotel room was comfortable with good decor. Samsung TV, Sound bar, hair dryer and kettle with tea and coffee provision. Bed was very comfortable and room clean. Bathroom was small, but had a great decor, with a bath and fabulous shower, which was a nice surprise. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have towels in our room, but these quickly provided. In an easy to get to location. Ten minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street station and city centre, away from the crowds and noise. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of hot food and cereals, fruit, croissants, toast. Only let down was that there were no cups/glasses for drinks, having to wait for these. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

No sleep

I was in a room on the ground floor near the road and next to a door that lead through to the corridor and stairs. Constant noise from the road and the door by the corridor was constantly opening and sounded like someone was coming in the room every 5 minutes. I had next to no sleep before a busy day.. I mentioned to reception as was due to be staying next day, there was no real appreciation of just how poor my night had been and just offered to move the room for the next night. I booked a different hotel.

Avoid if you have a choice.

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: 150 characters is nowhere near enough.
Location: Fair walk from Lime St, up a slight hill. Very close to the new cathedral. Easy to get into the city.
Booked executive room for two nights. Top of the house, no lift and no central heating. Small convection heater which barely took the chill off and didn't defrost the bathroom at all. No hot water, apart from last morning, when it reached tepid. If this is executive, I dread to think what the standard rooms are like. I will never find out. The one plus was a brilliant breakfast.

Good location

Easy to book, near to Lime St station and great bars and venues around Hope St. I didn't book the breakfast so didnt use any facilities but I would use the hotel again.

Hotel close to Metropolitan Cathedral

Pros: The position.
Cons: Mending the heating and the shower.
Location: The Cathedral and Everyman Theatre
The facia to this hotel is very welcoming, bright, clean and painted white. A single persons' visit to Liverpool. The receptionist asked if I could manage my case, I asked how far and how many stairs? (no lift) Two flights - actually 42 steps up an old staircase - up and round, up and round and up! Someone brought up my case and also showed me to my room as I couldn't find it. My room had two single beds bolted together, clean linen and 4 pillows. Two wall radiators, one in the small but adequate bathroom. Unfortunately neither worked, I telephoned to reception and asked for a heater. Using it on the second evening I unfortunately set off the fire alarm ! So, I restricted myself to very low heat. The stair case is in desperate need of decoration and a new carpet. (the carpet is very 'tired') On ( I think it was ) the Saturday morning there were 4 coaches outside the hotel, so perhaps it suggests most of the hotel clientele are on a coach holiday.
