Good hotel but poor customer care

Pros: Everything except Parking and Customer care
Cons: Parking directions
Overall my stay was great but had a terrible experience finding the parking for the hotel. The customer staff weren't helpful when it came for the parking otherwise everything else was great.

Terrible bed, noisy aircon, good breakfast

Pros: Breakfast, bathroom, location
Cons: Reception staff training, mattresses and air conditioning.
The hotel is conveniently located and check-in was smooth. The room was extremely clean and relatively spacious. However, the mattress was terrible; collapsed, brick hard and lumpy. Apparently, they are replacing them (however, they seem to have been stating this for at least 6 months now). Also, the air conditioning makes a strange intermittent rattling noise. These two issues conspired to deprive us of any sleep. The complaint was also handled poorly by the receptionist, they forgot to give us the necessary card to exist the car park and they overcharged us on the bill. They need to sort out the aforementioned issues with the room and retrain their staff. It's a shame as the room itself and bathroom are quite nice and the breakfast is very good. That said, they failed in their primary purpose which is to afford a good night's sleep.

Overnight stay before an early flight

Pros: Location - Straight over from the terminal
Just the job - Comfy room and an early continental breakfast before our flight

Would definetley recommend however, instructions for hotel parking needs to be much clearer.

Hotel was as described. Cleanliness wad faultless. Parking was a kerfuffle. Not clear on where and how to enter and each time we made a mistake it cost us £2.

Really great value for money!

We picked this hotel as a cheap alternative to city centre hotels for NYE and are really glad we did! The hotel is fairly basic but that's to be expected for the price. However, it was extremely clean and the staff were helpful. The hotel is about a £25 taxi ride to central Liverpool (NYE prices) and if you want a hotel for the airport you couldn't be any closer as you can see the runway from the rooms! But don't worry we didn't even hear a peep from the planes! Overall a great hotel and we would def return!

Great hotel.

We have stayed in Hampton hotels in Birmingham and thought it couldn't get better than the service we had previously, but Hollie on front desk made our stay so special. I TRAVEL QUITE A LOT AND HAVE NEVER MET SUCH A LOVELY, FRIENDLY ,AND HELPFUL RECEPTIONIST AS WE HAD HERE IN THIS HOTEL. Hollie was just brilliant the way she looked after us. And Carol on the management team was equally helpful. We will definitely use this hotel when we visit Liverpool again. Thanks so much . Pat , Jackie , Paul and Daragh.

Disappointing

Been here before & been happy except for food, breakfast always good tho despite evening food being dire but this stay was dreadful! Air con broken, suffocating & hotel too hot too. Shower in one room didn't work & neither did the telephone so our children couldn't get hold of us but we didn't know as it was only incoming calls not working. The reception & bar understaffed & queued to just get car park ticket validated as well as for everything else. Breakfast was DREADFUL! No staff & food ran out 1/2 way thru & food there was appalling, no decaf had to go into the kitchen to get any help. Tables & floors filthy in restaurant. No disturb on door ignored only to be hammered up by cleaners in morning. Wifi rubbish & kicked out regularly & a pain to reconnect. Bar staff LOVELY & reception staff too tho thank goodness. Rooms nice & big & clean. Bed awful & old. Noisy & springs. Linen had make up marks but clean (launder wise).
