Lovely hotel, only downfall was where our room was situated there was a door to get a mini corridor with 3 doors and our neighbours decided to open their and shut their door and the other door atleast 20 times between 2.30-5am keeping us both awake Most of the night this making the stay in enjoyable.

Staff were fantastic. They went out of there way to make our stay great. I booked 2 double rooms for family, both very comfortable. A minor issue was that the room next to my sons was a multiple room (see website) had a noisey crowd, even at 4 a.m

Slept in better "budget" hotels

Had to wait over an hour to get in room after check in time .room was awfull dirty floor in bits window broken. Then had roadworks outside all night till 5am . Bar no stock of draught lager function gor 350 at night struggled to get in hotel at 1030 pm as screaming woman at the entrance no hotel staff to be seen . Hotel staff not worried or concerned . Very poor not worth £150 per night.

Overall experience

We arrived after 10pm to the hotel as our flight from cork was an evening flight.. we were greeted by a love woman I think ger name is Sara. She was so welcoming and gave us brief info on what we could do in Liverpool. I told her we we’re in the city to do the anfield tour as it was my dad and brothers first time and was a surprise for them to visit the city. The hotel alone was breathtaking as every corner u took had something different to look at . Then came the biggest shock (in a good way) was our room we entered room 110 to discover it was a suite/apartment the look on my dads face was truly amazing he never stayed in a room like this after all he’s going on 72 and only has been on a plane 4 times 4th being this one ... I have been in a lot of hotels around the world and this one is way up my list of “thee” best so far.. I will look forward to returning. I would definitely recommend it..

Stayed Msin Times

This is a really lovely hotel. The Bastion bar and restaurant are lovely. The drinks are reasonable and the Dinner menu is divine. The breakfast is well laid out but the quality average. We are booking it in room only basis for future trips. There is a lovely Italian place a stones throw away Carluccios which does an amazing fresh cooked breakfast including fresh squeezed OJ and tea or coffee for about the same price as hotel breakfast and is much much nicer. However, if you prefer the precooked buffet eat what you like kind of breakfast you won’t go wrong at the hotel. If you’re going to Anfield to watch the match book a taxi as you will find it hard to just flag one down in the street. Room 210 which has do many windows you get a great view. The room was so spacious a double and 2 twin beds, a dining room with TV on wall, a kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi bath big enough for 2 people easily to lie side by side. The downside to this room is the bathroom window. It’s vompletely frosted but I would imagine with the shower being in the centre of the ceiling right in front of the window. And the bath bring inftont of the window your silhouette would be made out from the street next to where the window is. We have stayed in the Library room which is really large with a finining table easily would fit 8 people if not more, jacuzzi bath and spacious bedroom
