‘Premium’ Club room in this hotel is no where near the quality of any other Village hotel I have stayed, terribly outdated and badly in need of updating. Premier inn and Holiday inn express rooms are much much better.

The rooms and bathrooms are in dire need of an update, they aren’t even close to some of the other Village hotels I’ve stayed in recently. If it wasn’t for the location, I wouldn’t stay here again until rooms are updated, and that includes the ‘Premium’ rooms too.

Friendly staff clean hotel

Stayed here on a Friday night there was a lady helping out at the check in she was very friendly and helped me sort my room out. The room was clean and modern. There bar area is nice and served good quality food. Breakfast well not the greatest quality for the £10 per person sausages terrible but all in all for a good price I'd defo stay again.

Lovely hotel

Stayed here for relatives 60th birthday party which was in whiston, great base for travelling around surrounding area.

Wouldn't pay for the upgraded room again

Have stayed here many times over recent years as it is located well for my business meetings. I usually stay in the standard rooms but these are getting really old and tired now so I decided to upgrade to a Club Room on my most recent visit and I must say there is no value or any real difference to be had for the extra cost versus the standard rooms. Only noticeable differences to me were different bedding, different toiletries (but not even a premium brand), and 2 free bottles of water in the room. The bedroom furniture, carpets, and tiling & fixtures in the bathroom were all the same old tired features that I associated with the now very tired looking standard rooms and now I suspect that I won't be returning. By comparison, The Suites hotel at Knowsley (every room is a suite) offers a better standard of accommodation and food for a similar price and sometimes cheaper, I would recommend staying there now instead.
