Such a disappointing stay, not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Pet freindly: Not much. More pet tolerant if you could even call it that. £10 charge for our dog which is standard, however he couldnt go in the dining area or bar. When i questioned what to do with him if we went for breakfast i was told to leave him in the room or put him in our car. Not being funny but I've paid for to stay and be part of our hotel stay. Locking him in a room away from us would stress him out, potentially causing him to bark or cause damage which we would then have to pay for. As for telling us to lock him in the car? Absolutely not. I hope this advice isn't given in summer. Also there is a dog policy on the wall that talks about muzzling dogs if they bark which again screams not dog friendly. Noise: Walls are paper thin. So so thin. You can hear everything being said in the rooms around you. Going to sleep? Nah not until everyones back at the hotel and tucked into bed. Doors: Can't speak for all the doors, but if you get room 32 you can expect a one inch gap under the door. Which lights up the room from the hallway. I could shove my hand under it (see images). My dog could people watch under it. Probably added to the sound issues we had. I had to shove my winter coat against the door. Decor: Shabby, disgusting, unfinished. Paper peeling off the walls, no pictures on the wall. Very depressing decorating. Wouldn't return. Wouldn't reccomend.
