    • Disliked: Room comfort

    Heatless in the Highlands

If like me your idea of a rainy winter weekend in the Highlands involves sitting in a comfy lounge chair by a roaring log fire then this is NOT the hotel for you. However if you have fond memories of the old Scottish Youth Hostels and their chilly bathrooms and don't mind making your own bed then it will suit you. Really if the only way you can enjoy reading the Sunday papers is to get into bed with all your clothes on then is it worth while travelling all these miles to the Highlands?

Cosy rooms, great bar with a roaring log fire, good bunch of people in, reception, waiter chap very welcoming, bar staff friendly, food superb, drink even better. A great place to arrive at on a cold November night.
