Broken window lock and only heating was a small oil radiator. The sides were dusty and the trouser rail was thick with dirt. The bed was also broken on 1 side. Would never stay there again.

Property was on a golf course with amazing views! Old estate with all the character you want in a hotel. Check in staff was great (Vicky) and the bar staff was wonderful too! (Kyle, Emma, & Harriet) Highly recommend!!!

    Avoid at all cost

After checking into my room, I was very disappointed from opening the door. Very dirty and worn carpet throughout the room. Very old and dated furniture. Also, on the room description when I booked and paid my £90 per night, it stated 42inch TV with premium channels!! My tv was probably no more than 20inch at the most, not a massive issue alone but don’t advertise a 42” if clearly the rooms don’t have them. I moved into the bathroom…disgusting that’s the only way I can describe this room. Dried in scum around the towel rail and toilet, so this has not been deep cleaned for an awful long time. Several curly hairs around the bath, can’t say if pubic, but any hairs from the previous guest is NOT good! Decided to pull back the bed covers and again several curly hairs. After finding the hairs in the bed decided this room was not for me. Tried calling reception several times on the room phone with no luck so went to reception in person and waited 15mins for people to be checked in. I finally got a window to speak to the reception person and this is when I decided I would never return to this hotel and I would be advising my company, with a large field force to never use this hotel again. I kindly asked the young chap on reception if I could be switched to another room, he continued to type into his computer without acknowledging me or giving me eye contact and after a few minutes slapped a new key card down on the counter and then said “reason?” in a very rude manor and again wit

Decent price & spa, but not enough to offset cons

The hotel was very cheap so I wasn't expecting 5 stars here. The rooms are dated and worn which on itself is fine for the price. There's also a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, squad court, and gym which can easily offset some of the cons. Speaking of the cons though: - tiles falling off the walls in the bathroom - not the cleanest of rooms - are the beds normal size? At 6 foot tall my feet were dangling off the end - breakfast was pretty gross (the anemic sausages were undercooked and there appeared to be a spot of mould on the bacon??) - when we asked for a pot of tea, the waitress came back a few minutes later and *threw* the pot onto our table, stomping off leaving us wondering what we had done to offend (we didn't bring up the food complaints with them at all so there had been no confrontation) - pot of tea didn't come with milk, but to be honest we were a little worried about asking for anything for fear of wearing it! - leaf blower was out on the grounds (despite the strong winds...) at just after 8AM on Saturday morning, so don't plan on a lie in. Like I said, the price and spa certainly offsets some of that, but it was still disappointing.
