There have been some changes since our last visit. Mainly the removal of shower cap and individual toiletry items from the bathroom, on the basis that this is Eco friendly. The soap dispensers in the bathroom gave the hotel a budget feel and having to go down from the 6th floor to get a shower cap from reception did not get our stay off on a good footing. The handheld shower head holder was broken leaving a deluge of water from the overhead shower the only option. water leaked from the shower all over the bathroom floor.The hotel are also charging more for a room with a view of Charterhouse Square. We were on the 6th floor and there was a brick parapet outside the small window we had so there was NO view. The hotel is in a good location for tube stations and the bed was comfortable, apart from that its lost a bit of its specialness i'm afraid to say

A class hotel with a comfortable and spacious room in a quiet area close to Farringdon and Barbican tube stations. There are a few bars within walking distance. it was my birthday weekend and it was a lovely suprise to have a birthday card and cake in the room on arrival. the staff are very welcoming. we will look forward to returnng.

Nice hotel, modern feel, well thought out rooms

Pros: Modern contemporary feel and a lot of thought given to 'extras'
Cons: Silly and minor, but I thought the reception staff could have smiled a bit more.
Location: Close to Charterhouse, Farringdon Station and Hatton Garden
I stayed here for one night seeking a location close to Hatton Garden. The hotel is conveniently located close to Farringdon Station which made it ideal for me. I was impressed with my room, it was well thought out, comfortable, and catered for all my likely needs. There room was well laid out with the main bedroom, a large bathroom and separate desk and 'office' space. The room was contemporary with nice touches. The bed was very comfortable, with the usual worlds supply of cushions and pillows, facing a large flatscreen SmartTV with working Freeview channels. There were ample usb sockets to charge all my gadgets and the free wifi worked well. Good graduated lighting provided a range of options from low and relaxing to bright for working. The separate office area had an ample desk, mini bar and pretty much anything you might need in terms of crisps, nuts, wine, beer and soft drinks (chargeable). There was also an iron and a hairdryer if needed. My room also had a nice view of the Charterhouse located behind. Bathroom was large, a nice rainfall shower and a range of good and ample toiletries. Large plump, bathroom towels were also nice. Continental Breakfast was nice, a cooked offering was available at extra cost. The staff were attentive, and the restaurant comfortable and pleasant. Overall I was very pleased with my stay, the hotel was a good find, and if I am in the area again, I would definitely consider staying here again.
