This hotel is simply amazing! The decor is great and well thought out, the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need but most of all the views from the room and restaurant/bar are simply amazing! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely hotel. Very clean & smart. Staff couldn't do enough to help & went above & beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. Lovely view from floor 29 & the quality of food (we only had breakfast) was excellent. Nothing to complain about at all. Thanks novotel canary wharf

Industrial style hotel with fab roof top dining

The roof top restaurant has a perfect view over the city and fabulous dining experience. Rooms not luxurious, but with everything you need. Housekeeping could be more attentive. Staff overall super friendly. Perfect location to explore Canary Wharf!

Amazing!

We absolutely loved the hotel! We will be back, the only thing, we found half package of chewing gum on the floor as soon as we opened the door, very weird, but not a big issue, we are very happy, we will be back soon

Disappointing 2nd Visit

Pros: Good location for public transport into the city.
Cons: More staff on reception. Far better housekeeping. Greater efficiency. Better communication skills.
Location: Near Canary Wharf & transport links from there. Close to the O2. Excellent views from higher floors and 'Bokan' restaurant (fairly expensive but good)
We waited over an hour from checking in time, for our room to be ready. Receptionist explained she was getting us a very nice room, to please come back in ten minutes or so. We returned after 15 minutes, the room was still not ready. We were asked to return again, the receptionist did not know how long this would take. There was no suggestion that perhaps we might have a complimentary coffee or something in the cafe while we waited. The room was eventually ready for us an hour late. When we went to the room, yes it was nice but so are all the other Executive rooms (being on very high floors). If our room here had been very nice (as we had been told), it would have been on the other side of the building, with views across and up the Thames towards the City, rather than facing Canary Wharf (with a partial view of the O2 building in the distance). We realised that our second bathrobe and both pairs of slippers were missing from the room, as were any shower gels. We informed guest services at 3.30pm. They had not arrived by 4:30 p.m. We went out for the evening, the requested robe, slippers at towels had still not arrived on our return at 10:30pm. We informed guest services, they were then brought to the room, (together with genuine apologies, which was appreciated) a few minutes later. When checking out after our two night break, we were not asked how our stay had been. If we had been asked, it is possible that, having shared our experience, we would have felt better about it.

In regards to the check in process, allow us to inform you that our guarantee check in time is 3pm, but we always try to accommodate our guests with early check in if there is availability. Also all our executive rooms offer panoramic views of London and we are sorry to hear that you didn't like the view from your room. Thank you for informing us about the lack of bathrobe and soaps in your room. We will address the issue accordingly since our goal is to provide a great level of service and ensure a memorable experience for all our guests. Many thanks!

Staff useless

Lovely room when I finally got to it. Check in time supposed to be 2pm, got there at 230pm and the room still wasn’t ready until 3pm. Reception didn’t welcome me and kept telling me things ‘weren’t his fault’. Very confusing - told me he could upgrade me free of charge for an additional £27.50 which obviously makes no sense at all. Was offered a complimentary drink by way of apology from the bar but wasn’t advised it was only for the cheapest rubbish on the menu which was embarrassing when I tried to order something middle range. Wasn’t told where breakfast was or when it was served. Had to find it for myself.

Great Modern Hotel

Pros: new, fresh, reception staff, gym facilities
Cons: the pillows could be a bit bigger and softer
Location: canary wharf ice rink and cross rail garden centre
The building is brand new which makes the facilities great. The reception staff are always happy to accommodate your requests for a better room. The rooms in the corners from 13 level and above are the best ones, ask for the Thames view. this is my weekend getway from home. Gym and pool/saunarium is great and modern.
