My girlfriend and I only stayed here for one night, but were expecting good things considering how good the reviews are. We were considerably disappointed by what we experienced. Firstly, during check in we were told by ‘Christina’ at reception that we had one of the biggest rooms on the floor, what a massive joke that was!! It’s quite possibly the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, and the rooms are most definitely overdue an update. Be aware that the walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations in the room next door (on the 12th floor anyway), along with how old the windows are, you can hear everything going on outside which woke both me and my girlfriend up at 5am! Secondly, cleanliness is not up to standard, particularly whilst we are still in a pandemic. The first thing I noticed when checking the room was the bathroom smelled of stale urine, and there were toothpaste marks left on the sink surround. When checking the rest of the room, you start to notice how dirty it really is, with finger marks and grime on most of the fixtures and fittings. Thirdly, breakfast was also a disappointment. The breakfast is served as a buffet, but most of it was cold, and of lacklustre quality, with only scrambled eggs on offer and the hash browns being rock hard. You do get tea and coffee included, but any other type of coffee, e.g. a cappuccino, is billed extra, what an absolute joke!! Service is also poor, taking them forever to replace the empty buffet dishes etc.
