The Perfect London Hotel?

Pros: Location, price, cleanliness, service
Cons: We did not find anything which we felt could have been improved.
The Mandeville is a fantastic hotel, ideally situated on a quiet road just off Oxford street and within two minutes of Bond Street tube station, offering luxury accommodation at a very reasonable rate. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, the staff are professional and pleasant. The food and drinks appear to be of good quality and fairly priced. Will definitely stay here again when we are next in town.

Quite disappointing for a 4 star especially as a superior room was booked. Situated in a good location but as a regular visitor to London I would not consider staying here again as I felt the rooms and hotel in general were a little shabby

Great central location

Great stuff, a central location close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Perfect for a city break. My room was very small but comfortable nonetheless.

Perfect London escape

Stayed in the Hotel for a weekend with my partner. It was my first time in London so I wanted something central so the location was perfect. Could not fault the Hotel or staff. We had one slight problem , their was some building work going on beside our room (outside) which was a bit noisy in the mornings however this had nothing to do with the hotel. I would still stay in it again and would definitely recommend.

a little disappointing

I should say two of the staff members were fantastic i.e. the guy on the door and a girl named Anya on reception who has a very good way with people. I told her that the lack of a kettle in the room along with the high price of having tea brought to the room, would prevent my returning to the hotel and she tried (although I neither asked nor required this) to have the tea taken off the bill. Her superior then came along and rather patronisingly told me I would have to pay for the tea. I didn't care about paying for the tea but just wanted to make an observation. Anyhow, apart from that the room was very small and the bathroom seemed to be right up against the bed. Location is superb. Hotel is not. We visit London on average, once a month and have been searching for an ideal mid price hotel - this is not it. Ah well, the search goes on....

4 day stay in London

The geographical location and hospitality are excellent. The room is a bit small and the air-heating system is noisy. Also the bathroom where is the toilet does not close properly and more is a glass door. This bathroom is freezing. The room is comfortable but the value for money is a bit exaggerated.

Great Location

Excellent hotel for shopping between Oxford street & Marylebone High street. Independent hotel very helpful and friendly staff. Generous twin room very comfortable bed, frosted glass door to bathroom not ideal and bath towels on the skimpy side. Nespresso machine in room great 3 pods provided but shame they charge you £1.50 per pod after that buy 10 in selfridges for £3. Overall very happy with our one night stay would definitely book here again
