I definitely won’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Building inside is very old. Carpets in room very dirty and old. Furniture is old. Bath very bad. Flush doesn’t work properly. When you wash face in basen water doesn’t go. I paid lot for room in this hotel but its a waste of money. Big name small show.

The location is amazing. Next to the tower bridge. The food at the hotel was fine. The system at the front desk is too slowly and there was a problem with my payment.

The property is in a good location if you're wanting to hit the tourist spots this side of the city or some other reason to be this side like we were. However the flip side is that it all feels very busy and touristy. We tried to check in a few mins before check in time and were then told to come back in 10 mins to pick up the keys so we waited in the seats nearby. Returned after 10 mins and then were told the rooms weren't ready and to come back in 20. After 20 mins we came back and they still weren't ready so they changed our room (to what I found out later to be a smaller room). Then the keys didn't work so I had to come back down to get that sorted. In all we wasted almost an hour finally getting into our room (this is past check in time as well). The room was small, old and tired and lots needs replacing. It's also noisy (sound travels from the corridor quite badly and the shower in the room). It wasn't very clean too due to the carpets needing replacing. The room was too hot and the cooling didn't work - when I advised them on checkout they said that the heating is controlled centrally and that maybe it was hot because it was sunny. The hotel overall looks like its trying to be grand but is in serious need of renovation and while the room costs can be relatively cheap, I think I would have preferred a budget hotel for a similar price or pay a little extra for a nicer hotel. Not one I'll be returning to.

First the good, great location, clean tidy rooms and most of the facilities are good. The bad was the warm air heating system. Our room was uncomfortably hot and despite maintenance checking their was nothing they could do as the system is for whole building little individual room control. We did complain on leaving and were compensated but not what we would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Arrived the first night and had paid the additional cost for an Executive room. The room was high on the 11th floor with a great view of London Bridge. The room itself was starting to show signs of age and furniture was a bit tired looking. I let it slide but issue surfaced in the night when the noise levels from above went on until 01:45. I heard every chair scrape, every door close and most conversations. It turned out to be a conference room above. I requested a move the following morning which duly happened and I was moved onto the 5th looking out onto St Katherine's Dock. Room was more modern and sound levels were very quiet, although the room temperature was disappointingly high. Overall a disappointing stay, but staff were excellent in helping to try to solve my issues and nice touch of an apology card with some chocolates.
