The room was so small that you can not walk in front of the bed... you will have to walk sideways.

Good location. Food basic. Room was so small had to put suitcase on floor.

We arrived and were held up by an IT issue at check-in. Not a big concern, if it were the only one. The elevator did not seem to work easily for anyone, including us as we try to make our way from the second floor reception to our room. The standard room was So small that we had no idea where to put a second suitcase… And the suitcases were both carry-on size! There was an on identified substance on the bedspread and a large strip of the artificial wood on the faux desk. I brought my concerns and the photos to the attention of the reception and to their credit, they upgraded us to a room with a view of the park, which we moved into arriving home from the theater. When we got into bed discovered that there was no top sheet on the bed. We called down and were told that someone would look into it after we explained what a top sheet was. We needed to call in another 20 minutes to ask and shortly after someone knocked on the door and handed the sheet to us. So we made our bed. I have no illusions that the size of a standard room in London would be or should be palatial; however, at the posted rack rate beside the check-in desk, I would expect better service than the expectation that we make our own bed. Perhaps It was determined that they had helped us as much as they could and that any request following that Would be at Best tolerated. In fact at check out, the same manager asked me no questions or offered no words of appreciation for our business.

I’m so conflicted by this hotel. It’s in a great neighborhood, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was new and shower warm. But we were there for four nights, and the coffee mugs were NEVER changed out (despite us asking), the room was TINY - couldn’t even wheel the suitcase around the bed, and there were no drawers for storage. There was no counter space for even a makeup bag in the bathroom, we got attitude from the front desk for requesting fresh bath towels daily, and despite it being half empty, they couldn’t move us to a room overlooking the park (the woman at the front desk explained this was the “Expedia room”). Also, we arrived early (11 am ish) and the couple in front of us and then infuriatingly behind us got to check into their rooms early. Our host just said no come back after 2. Which while I understood, if you’re landing after a transatlantic flight and some people check in but not you it’s a big eye roll. But it is in a great area.
