I stayed for 9 nights and it was the perfect base for me on my first visit to Derry. Everything is on the doorstep so you can explore the compact city centre on foot from there. I was not altogether sure what to expect, having only ever passed through previously, but the city was fascinating and the people were great, going out of their way to be helpful. There is secure parking through a narrow, but perfectly negotiable, entrance, I did take care, but had no difficulty getting in and out with my Micra. I felt quite safe in the neighbourhood, and throughout the city, in fact. Breakfast is self-serve whenever you choose. I had yoghurt, orange juice and fruit, toast and marmalade sometimes, but there was cereal too. Guests could cook their own food too. The dining room was open plan with the kitchen. All the hosts were very welcoming, helpful and informative. It was Cameron who was there most of the time and I saw how he helped a succession of guests on anything and everything under the sun! I benefitted too, of course, and really appreciated it. The local knowledge is invaluable.
