It was an apartment building, therefore no front desk to provide service. I had to call the property twice in advance to obtain the instructions for self check in. That had added some levels of anxiety when you are travelling to an unfamiliar city. Being said, the overall experience was positive and civilize. I would suggest the vendor should highlight the fact that there is no front desk to help when you are making the choice of hotel. At least to me, this is a consideration when making the choices.
