Nice hotel

Hotel was lovely sadly room was quite basic for the amount we spent on it. Other than that I would recommend but wait for a cheeky sale Lol.

Nice hotel

Carpets need refreshing in rooms, new pillows, curtains that block the light out completely. Exec lounge is nice but needs more seating, or a limit on none exec room guests from entering.

Nice weekend away

The hotel was lovely and clean. Walking distance from the shops and taxi's right to the door. Staff were very helpful and I would stay here again. We upgraded to an executive room but I couldn't justify the price difference. For what we paid for to upgrade we got a slightly bigger room and executive lounge access which we didn't even use and wifi and breakfast was not included in the upgrade price.

average

We were given a disabled room which smelt dirty and damp and the carpet was sodden in places. We had to request to move to another room. There was a constant mechanical noise all night which we believe was due to external air conditioning.g equipment and there were constant bangs. The hotel informed us prior to booking that we would not need to queue for the Cloud bar but on arrival we were told that we would and that the waiting time was 30 minutes!

food & some service let it down

Sent for a club sandwich & fries on room service & it was nearly cold. Tried to book a table in restaurant(as advised on website) but no-one answered, then phone clicked onto another extension, which then rang off. This happened several times over a period of about 45 mins. Then rang customer care who said they would try to help & put me through to room service! As it transpired,a reservation wasn't needed. Was looking forward to trying some of the items I had seen on the a-la-carte menu, but was only offered Table-d'hote @ £25. Whole meal was very ordinary & much of it did not seem to be freshly cooked.Starter ok but it smelt like the plate had been wiped with a dirty cloth, which spoilt it. Fish was overcooked, Cheese selection poor & no sign of the water biscuits stated on the menu! This was supposed to be a treat & it didn't feel as special as I'd hoped. I had been prepared to pay for quality as a one-off! Bar man very friendly & gave me a glass of better champagne at basic champagne price, as they had run out.

Great weekend break

We booked an Executive Plus room (floor 16) for a Sunday birthday night out. The room was great with views to the south but the executive lounge even better on floor 23 with free drinks and canapes after 1700. Ate at the Chaohpraya Thai which was excellent and finished at Cloud23 with cocktails and the view!
