I checked into a pre-booked room on the 4th floor - the noise of the air conditioning was so loud it was like having a machine in the room. I asked to move and was given a room on the 3rd floor which was much quieter. I noted that on the 4th floor corridor the noise was very loud everywhere and I would advise specifying that you don't have a room on that floor if you stay here. The staff very quickly moved me when I asked and were very good about it. On a general note I stay in hotels for business and do work in the room. The rooms here were too dark and even with all the lights on there wasn't sufficient light to work easily Facilities, food, staff and general care are all very good here

The hotel itself was fabulous and the room and breakfast was perfect. Wasn’t impressed with the initial check in as I was almost charged a significantly higher price for the room, when questioned they said it’s just an error. Of £90 extra! And then the car parking, which although once delving into your website I could see the £17 overnight charge, this was not made clear, by just stating it has on site parking. This was chosen due to the belief of free parking. Then was told it was one of the cheapest in Manchester but the car park next to the hotel was £12. That was poor.

Lovely Hotel/ Could be better

Pros: Authenticity the old brick works
Cons: as stated above cleanliness staff from the bar need to be on the ball with keeping the area clean outside it's a 4* not a 3!
Location: Great location
The hotel is authentic and had some lovely points/breakfast great / breakfast staff very good/ reception staff a little cool and being a hen party was the perfect spot for a hen weekend. Disappointed with cleanliness in some of the public areas for example the outdoor tables to the front of the hotel obviously hadn't been wiped down or cleaned for a couple of days, thick layer of dust, glass stains etc off putting when you want to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Long awaited return

This was our seconded time visiting the hotel after a year gap. We weren't disappointed. The staff from the moment we arrived at the hotel to when we checked out they were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Food excellent. We hope not to have to wait for another 4 years to return.

Nice hotel

Stayed for 1 night. Thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable. Would be better if the parking is free and if there is a gym or swimming pool.
