I was expecting a bathroom as advertised, and not a wet room. I personally also think any 4 star hotel worth its rating should have biscuits in the room along with the tea and coffee.

Perfect location. Very friendly staff at reception. Room was spotless. Didn’t eat here so can’t advise. The only fault was the Bed dipped in the middle which meant we rolled into that for most of the night

For a relatively expensive room rate and a four star hotel, we were dissapointed by our stay. Not much worked in the room. A light was out, only one switch worked strangely, and the telephone didn't work. When we called reception on our mobile, no one did anything about it. All of that could be excused, but the mattresses were incredibly unformfortable, I could feel the springs in my back and the couple I was staying with didn't sleep all night. The furnishings were drab/outdated. Reception/lobby was lovely - as was the bathroom, very clean too.

Reasonably priced hotel in the city centre

Pros: The lobby, nicely decorated and looks like new. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The bedrooms look a bit tired and old fashioned and could do with an upgrade.
Location: Very near Portland Street and some of the city centre attractions.
The lobby and communal areas of the hotel have recently been refurbished and look really good. There is a coffee shop within the hotel where you can buy hot drinks, beers and wines, and cakes. All modern and quite cosy at the same time. The bedrooms themselves could do with a bit of a makeover. They look a bit tired and old fashioned. My double room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, but compared to the lobby the room looked quite tired. I am hoping that the bedrooms will be their next stage of refurbishment. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I was given a complimentary upgrade to a slightly larger room and they also stored my luggage for me until my room was ready, as I checked in early. I had room service from the restaurant and the food was good, and reasonably priced. The hotel is well located in the city centre, however the walls were quite thin. I could hear the room next door to me playing loud music and had to resort to wearing earplugs. Overall, a good hotel which is reasonably priced. The bedrooms could do with a bit of TLC but the staff are great.

Lovely hotel and pretty central

We stayed here one night and thought it was lovely. Within walking distance to Piccadilly Gardens where you can hop on a bus to wherever you’re heading. The only thing we could complain about is that the hotel has recently changed name and we walked up and down the street past it a couple of times looking for the old name!! Although we did say when we passed the first time that it looked lovely!! Haha

Great stay

Our stay here was amazing! The only reason it wasn't all 5's is because the fire alarm went off early on the Sunday morning & woke us all up and the first room they put us in had someone else's bags in so we had to be moved. Other than that we had a great say!

Spotlessly clean hotel

Have stayed here several times. The hotel is always 1st class. Staff helpful and very friendly. Close to shops and Canal Street for a fab night out. Pity breakfast isn't included in the price though.

Good hotel convenient for city centre.

Pros: In spite of it being a large hotel the staff were helpful, treated you as an individual, not always the case in big city hotels.
Cons: Found pillows TOO thick, an alternative thinner one would have been more comfortable. Maybe just a personal whim!
Location: Close to city centre, theatres, restaurants etc. Also good for Christmas Markets at this time of the year.
Well situated, welcoming. Clean, well appointed room. Close to city centre for shops restaurants & theatres.
