Really nice hotel with great staff. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The room was big and had everything needed in it.

Sadly disappointing, had to change rooms, second room not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel, all faults reported to reception but don’t expect then to be done. The concierge was outstanding!

Great traditional hotel in walking distance of everything that we wanted to visit. Fantastic breakfast. We had a room on the top floor so had lovely views.

Looks impressive from outside only, inside the bar area is dark & depressing, rooms adequate but overall overpriced, not good value for money.

My husband and myself were staying for one night in a standard room. I have to say that I was disappointed with the size of the room having expected whilst it was the Midland, to have been a little more upmarket and more luxury. The small area separate to the bedroom as you enter where the tea n coffee facilities are had the ceiling tiles hanging down and I found the whole ambiance a little on the cramped size. For the price we were still paying I would have also expected that the room would include breakfast, we did purchase a breakfast and I believe the amount of £20 per head to be excessive in addition to the cost of a very basic room. I was also booked into the spa and was disappointed to learn that my husband as a guest was not able to use the relaxation area whilst I was having my treatments and could only use the thermal area, you can't even get through to the spa externally or on the 25 no. extension to make enquiries! All in a all a little disappointed and not as expected.

Iconic Manchester Hotel

I decided to stay at the Midland as it's a hotel that I've always known of since being a small child. I checked in quite late and got a nice second floor room overlooking St Peter's Square. It was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet given its city centre location..
