This was one of the worst hotels I have ever encountered, the rooms are bold and basic I do not understand how this hotel has a 4 star rating I booked because it was cheaper than others and realized why. The carpets around the hotel are stained with vomit on each floor. There was no glass shield in the bathroom.so water went everywhere, shower so small couldnt get into it. The mattress on bed was so soft difficult to sleep on, no net curtains and no blinds and appartments on opposite side could view in my room. Its also the only hotel ive ever stayed that do not have a fridge in the room and staff couldnt offer a fridge either. The leather chairs in the room were so badly torn it made me feel like I was in a hotel of a 2 star standard. The sofa was so bad I didnt even once sit on it and I had to go buy Dettol antibacterial products to clean the bathroom and desk in the room which was so dusty it hadn't been cleaned. I am shocked how they class this a 4 star hotel? Its really in a 2 srar standard, they charge £11 for breakfast and on 2 days Wednesday and Thursday breakfast was good but on friday it was a buffett and the nicest way to describe the buffet is Vile food was so awful you couldn't eat it their chef should be ashamed of serving food like this the eggs were only fried available which were so overcooked and disgusting to even put out! Hashbrowns were soft and soggy it was really the worst experience in my life. I have been to over 900 hotels this being 0/10

Hello John and thank you for your honest feedback. We are currently looking at all carpets across the hotel as we are aware they do need replacing. I can assure you that there is no vomit on the floors and its stains from bleach etc. Not all rooms have fridge's in them and like most hotels in the UK not many have fridges. I understand your comments about the breakfast on the last day being buffet however the food is cooked the same and is not vile as we would not serve this food if it was.

Absolutely brilliant stay, the staff were so helpful, the breakfast was the best in a long time. Those little things like serving tea and coffee really help someone who is disabled like myself. The new waitress on the Sunday asked if she coukd help me with my toast which was so helpful and never been done in a long time. Definately going back.

Excellent welcoming staff and good location for exploring the city. The rooms are starting to show signs of wear and do need attention in some areas but overall the standard of accommodation is good.

Lovely hotel, great location. Staff were very polite and helpful. Use the Q car park by the novahotel as the town house will give you 30% discount on departure. Lovely stay and we would return.

Nice hotel in good location

Pros: Clean, spacious room, with comfortable bed. Complementary tea and Nespresso coffee was nice. Nice bathroom.
Cons: Room temperature was somewhat hard to regulate, heater always seemed to make noises even when we turned it off. Bathroom remained quite cold.
Location: Location is perfect for seeing the city, close to everything.
My partner and I stayed at the Townhouse hotel for a weekend break in Manchester, and it was a very nice stay! The hotel room was spacious, comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom. The room temperature was a bit difficult to regulate, and we did hear some noise from the street, but nothing too bad. Staff was very friendly, location was great.

Lovely modern hotel, excellent location

Stayed here for two nights over new years eve. Room and hotel very nicely done out and location couldnt have asked for better. Staff very welcoming and friendly. My only critism would be that the breakfast did not really go hand in hand with the luxury feel of the hotel. Continental selection was quite limited eg menu advertised selection of cold meats/cheese there was only one of each layed out on both mornings and on day 1 arrived at breakfast very early. Cooked is made to order which is fine but on both mornings tasted deep fried and therefore quite tough/greesy and sausage meatless despite being advertised as premium. Coffee also reminded me of not best quality filter coffee. Hotel and staff lovely but I’ve had better breakfast for £150 per room per night which is what was paid over the two nights.
